JOB DESCRIPTION: Seeking a qualified, experienced boro glass studio manager, glass blower, or glass artist who will oversee the production of glass products and services for retail and wholesale while maintaining the production facility upkeep. Production glass is a large area of focus currently.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee all activities of the Glass Studio including:

Process and Product Development

Equipment Upgrades and Maintenance

Log Raw Inventory/Tools/Equipment

Oversee Custom Glass Order Production

Oversee Hot Shop and Cold Shop Set-Up, Scheduling, and Maintenance

Quality Control of Glass Products and Services

Coordinate Customer Orders With The Team

Engage with Customers On Custom Project Details

Work With Team On Organic Content Marketing, Videos, Live Streams and

Social Media.

5. Has experience working hands-on with molten glass in our daily classes designed for people without prior experience

7. Excellent communication skills and is receptive to feedback at all times

8. Lathe and kiln experience

9. Highly motivated

10. Listens to feedback and strives for growth

11. Strong organizational skills

An applicant will possess the following qualifications:

• Advanced Glassblowing skills and vast knowledge of hot & cold working

• Must have an energetic yet calm disposition

• Ideally 5+ years of glass studio management experience

• Strong work ethic, outside-the-box thinker.

• Strong Knowledge of safety practices. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

• Strong organizational skills and task management experience.

• Outgoing, positive, and friendly personality

• Comfortable with public speaking; ability to work and speak in front of large groups of people

• Ability to represent Upper Limits both professionally and safely
  
  

Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Keep the studio and equipment in proper working order and clean.

• Coordinating product needs with sales and purchasing staff.

• Oversee the purchasing of raw glass materials and equipment.

• Willingness to speak with in-store customers from time to time.
  
  
  

Compensation

• Starting wage is $15/hr. to $25/hr. (depending on experience and ability) with opportunity for growth at annual reviews

• 40% Off most product lines company-wide.

• 20-30% Wholesale commissions on acquired accounts.
